當今時代,人們獲得信息的方式已經多元化。而電腦、手機更是人們相互聯系、獲取信息最快捷的方式之一。本單元首先讓學生根據各自的生活經驗來觀察、認識移動電話在生活中的作用,從而引入怎樣用英語打電話,即電話用語教學,以及怎樣合理使用手機的話題。單元教學的重點是電話用語,而難點在于怎樣在話題討論中鍛煉學生的語用能力及與人溝通的能力。通過學習,使學生能在打電話情景中學會使用電話用語與人進行交流。比如,May I speak to ...? Who’s that? This is ... speaking.等。語用練習中,需要掌握幾個動詞短語:make a phone call, go on the Internet, send a message, read an e-book, send an e-mail。

課程導入(Leading In)
(1)課前問答
新學期開始,師生互致問候,以下問候用語可供教師參考:
T: Nice to see you again at the beginning of this term. Did you have a good time during the winter holidays? Did you play with your friends? Did you call each other during the holidays?
(2)新課導入 Part A Warming-up: Think and number
師生互致問候之后,教師展示出電腦、收音機、電視、手機等圖片,借助Part A Warming-up部分的Think and number活動導入新課。
T: Here, I have some pictures. They are very useful in our daily life. Do you know what they are?
師生一起用英語說出這些物品,之后讓學生思考討論。讓他們按這些物品在我們日常生活中的重要程度依次排序并說明為什么。
T: Which one do you think is the most useful? You can number them from 1 to 5.
教師選出幾位學生說元說各自的選擇結果。當某一學生說到手機時,可順勢引入本節課的新詞匯。

(1)新課展示Part A Let’s learn
1. 教授詞組mobile phone
教師承接上一環節,出示手機的圖片或實物,與學生進行交流:
T: Look! We talked about this useful thing in our life just now. Do you know what it is in English? It is a mobile phone. Please follow me. Mobile phone. (重復幾遍)
2. 教授短語make a phone call
教師出示教學卡片,向學生介紹:
T: You can use the phone to call your friends, or call your parents. This is an important function of phone or mobile phone. Look at this picture. Read it after me. Make a phone call.(重復幾遍) You can also say“make a phone call to sb.”
引導學生說:Make a phone call to your friend.
Make a phone call to my mother.
3. 教授短語send a message
教師出示教學卡片,向學生介紹:
T: Sometimes you need to tell somebody something. But you don’t want to make a phone call. You can send a message to him with your mobile phone. That is another function of mobile phone: send a message. Read it after me. (重復幾遍)
4. 教授短語read an e-book
教師出示教學卡片,向學生介紹:
T: Sometimes you can read books on the Internet with mobile phone. You can say“read e-books”or“read an e-book” Read it after me. (分別重復幾遍)
5. 教授短語go on the Internet和send an e-mail
教師出示教學卡片,向學生介紹:
T: Everybody, can you use a computer?
Ss: Yes!
T: What do you often do on your computer?
Ss: ...
T: Please look here. You can go on the Internet and send an e-mail.
Ss: Yes! We can ... (將go on the Internet和send an e-mail分別重復幾遍)
(2)鞏固活動
1. 教師播放錄音,讓學生聽并跟讀Let’s learn部分的詞匯。
2. 教師出示Let’s learn部分的詞匯圖片,讓學生看圖快速說出相應的詞匯。
(1)新課展示Part A: Let’s talk
1. 教師提出問題,并播放Let’s talk部分對話錄音的前半部分,讓學生帶著問題感知對話內容:
What are they doing?
Who are speaking?
為了讓學生更直觀地了解對話,教師可在播放錄音之前先用手機播放一段鈴聲。這樣,電話鈴聲一響,學生們就可以明白這是一段電話錄音。聽完一遍錄音后,教師可選出幾名學生試著回答上面的兩個問題,看學生是否弄清楚了打電話雙方分別是Liu Zhaoyang和Cathy。并能答出:They are making a phone call.或They are talking on the phone.
2. 教師再次播放此段錄音,幫助學生理解對話內容。
(1) 理解電話用語May I speak to ...? & This is...
T: When you want to speak to someone on the phone, you can ask, “May
I speak to...? ”
When you answer a phone in English, you must say “This is ...”
You cannot say “I am ...” on the phone.
(教師做出打電話的樣子) For example, “Hello! This is Mr. Zhao. May I speak to Kevin?”
板書句型:May I speak to..?

讓學生兩人一組練習接通電活的用語:
A: Hello, this is A. May I speak to B?
B: Hello, this is B.
(2) 理解電話用語Sorry, B is out. Can I take a message? Could you please ask ... to call me?
T: When someone isn’t here near the phone. You can answer the call like this, “Sorry, he / she is out. Can I take a message?”
When you want him / her to call you later, you can say, “Could you please ask him / her to call me?”
教學小貼士 Could you please...? 用來表示“請求別人做某事”。可以理解為“請你……好嗎?” 語氣比較委婉。對方聽起來會顯得更加客氣,含有尊敬的意味。 |
再讓學生兩人一組練一練這樣打電話的情景:
A: Hello, this is A. May I speak to B?
C: Sorry, B is out. This is C. Can I take a message?
A: Could you please ask B to call me?
C: OK.
(3)板書句子:I’ll tell her when she comes back.她回來時我告訴她。
sb. will do sth. when ...這樣的句子用來表達“在某時某人會做某事”。該句型只要學生理解、會用就行,不必介紹太深的語法。這是一個復合句,when引導的是時間狀語從句,如:
I’ll do some housework when I go home.
The teacher will help us when we have difficulties.
3. 教師播放Let’s talk部分對話及錄音的后半部分。
(1)讓學生聽錄音,了解電話用語Is that... ? & Who is that?
T: On the phone, if you want to know who is speaking to you, you can ask Is that ...? or“Who is that? ”. You can’t say“Are you ... ? ” or “Who are you? ” For example, “Hello! Who is that? Is that ... (speaking)?”
教師做出打電話的樣子,提到班里誰的名字時就讓該生作出一定反應。如:Yes, this is ... (speaking)或No, this is ...
板書句型:Is that...?/ Who is that?
教學小貼士 英語的電話用語同中文的有很大的不同,如:May I speak to...? 相當于中文的:請找一下X X X。或我找X X X。而我是X X X。用英文表達則是This is...。另外,當需要詢問對方是誰時,要這樣問:Who is that?/ Is that ...? 回答則是:This is .../ Yes / No, this is ... |
讓學生兩人一組試若練一練:
A: Hello, this is A. May I speak to B?
B: This is B (speaking). Who is that? / Is that...?
A: This is ... / Yes. This is ... (speaking).
(2) 教師再次播放該部分錄音,幫助學生理解對話內容,弄清楚對話大概提到了什么事情。如:可以檢查學生聽完一遍有沒有抓住went shopping, bought me a mobile phone, play games on it等談話信息。進行此環節時,教師可提問并讓學生試著回答問題:who went shopping this morning? Who had a mobile phone? What will Kitty use it to do?
(2)鞏固活動
1. 教師播放Let’s talk部分的完整錄音,讓學生各自小聲跟讀并勾畫出打電話時的基本用語。
2. 小組活動,分角色進行對話朗讀練習。

課程導入(Leading In)
(1)課前問答
